Who we are

Housingstreet Marketing and Consulting Private Limited (HousingStreet) operates HousingStreet, a cloud software platform for real estate agents, brokerages, and developers. We provide property listing management, client pipeline (CRM), branded websites, content tools, team permissions, and subscription billing.

For the purposes of privacy law, Housingstreet Marketing and Consulting Private Limited is the data controller for information collected through housingstreet.com and the HousingStreet applications. Our registered office is at H. No. B-165, Ambedkar Colony, Gali No. 1, Chattarpur, South Delhi, New Delhi – 110074, India.

What this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to visitors of our marketing website, account holders, team members invited to a workspace, and end-users who submit inquiries through a customer's HousingStreet-powered website.

Each HousingStreet customer (tenant) is responsible for the property listings, lead data, and communications they load into the platform. We process that data on their instructions as a service provider.

Information we collect

Account and billing data

• Name, email address, phone number, company or agency name, and role
• Login credentials (passwords are stored using one-way hashing — we never store plain-text passwords)
• Billing contact details, subscription plan, invoices, and tax identifiers you provide
• Payment method data is collected and stored by Stripe, our payment processor. We receive tokens and billing status, not full card numbers

Product and business data

• Property listings, media, pricing, location fields, and publication settings
• Lead and client records, notes, tasks, deal stages, and assignment history
• Website content, themes, domains, and form submissions captured on your storefront
• Team membership, permissions, audit logs, and office structure (on eligible plans)
• Support tickets, product feedback, and correspondence with our team

Technical and usage data

• IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and approximate location derived from IP
• Pages viewed, features used, timestamps, and diagnostic logs needed to run and secure the service
• Cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy

How we use information

We use personal data only where we have a lawful basis: to perform our contract with you, to comply with law, with your consent where required, or for our legitimate interests in operating a secure, reliable SaaS business.

• Create and administer your workspace, authenticate users, and enforce role-based access
• Host listings, CRM data, and customer websites you publish through the platform
• Process subscriptions, trials, upgrades, tax invoices, and payment-related communications
• Send service announcements, security alerts, and onboarding messages
• Provide support, investigate issues, and improve product quality
• Detect fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access; maintain audit trails
• Comply with tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations in India and applicable foreign jurisdictions
• Analyze aggregated, de-identified usage to plan features (never to sell personal data)

When we share information

We do not sell personal data. We share it only as needed to run HousingStreet:

• Infrastructure and hosting providers that store encrypted data on our behalf
• Stripe — payment processing, fraud screening, and subscription management
• Email and notification providers to deliver transactional messages
• Communication providers (e.g. telephony/SMS) when you connect them to your account
• Professional advisers (lawyers, accountants) under confidentiality obligations
• Authorities when required by valid legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security
• A successor entity if we undergo a merger, acquisition, or asset sale — with notice where required

Your storefront may display contact forms and property details to the public as you configure. Lead data submitted on your site is stored in your tenant workspace and is not shared with other customers.

International data transfers

Housingstreet Marketing and Consulting Private Limited is incorporated in India. We serve customers in many countries. Data may be processed in India and in other jurisdictions where our infrastructure providers operate.

Where required by law (including the EU/UK GDPR), we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses, processor agreements, and technical measures including encryption and access controls.

How long we keep data

• Active account data is retained while your subscription or trial is active and for a reasonable period afterward so you can export or reactivate
• Billing and tax records are kept for the period required under Indian law (typically seven years for accounting records)
• Security and audit logs are retained on a rolling basis appropriate to investigation needs
• Marketing-site analytics data is retained according to our analytics provider settings and your cookie choices
• When you request deletion, we delete or anonymize personal data unless we must retain it for legal, security, or dispute-resolution reasons

Security

We use TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest for stored data, tenant isolation on database queries, role-based access control, and monitoring for suspicious activity. Payment card data is handled by Stripe under PCI DSS standards — HousingStreet does not store full card numbers on our servers.

See our Security page for a fuller description of our practices. No online service can guarantee absolute security; we commit to notifying affected customers without undue delay if a breach poses a material risk to their data.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing or withdraw consent.

• Submit requests to privacy@housingstreet.com from the email on your account
• Manage team access, export data, and update profile details inside platform-admin where available
• Control marketing and analytics cookies through our cookie banner and browser settings
• Unsubscribe from promotional email using the link in each message (transactional email will still be sent)

India (Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023)

Indian residents may exercise rights available under applicable Indian privacy law, including access, correction, erasure, and grievance redressal. You may contact our privacy team at the address above; unresolved complaints may be escalated to the Data Protection Board of India when the framework is fully operational.

European Economic Area & UK (GDPR)

If you are in the EEA or UK, you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Our lawful bases include contract performance, legitimate interests (security, product improvement), legal obligation, and consent where applicable.

California (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents may request disclosure of categories of personal information collected, request deletion, and opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. HousingStreet does not sell personal information as defined under California law.

Children

HousingStreet is a business platform for real estate professionals. It is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided data and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our product, legal obligations, or processors change. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
