## What this is [#what-this-is]

A **collection** is a hand-picked or rule-based group of listings — like "Luxury waterfront" or "Under $500K".

You can show collections on your website homepage or landing pages.

## Steps [#steps]

  <Step title="Open collections">
    Go to **Listings → Collections**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Create one">
    Click **New collection**. Type a name buyers will understand.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add listings">
    **Manual** — search and pick properties one by one. **Rules** — set filters (price range, city, tags) and matching listings join automatically.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Publish to your website">
    Turn on **Show on website** in the form. The collection gets a public page at `/collections/{slug}` and can be wired into theme sections.

  <Step title="Use on the website">
    In the theme customizer, pick this collection for a "Featured listings" or carousel section.

## Steps — edit an existing collection [#steps--edit-an-existing-collection]

  <Step title="Open the collection">
    Go to **Listings → Collections**. Click the collection name.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Edit settings">
    Click the pencil (**Edit**) icon. Update name, description, cover image, smart rules, or the **Show on website** toggle. Click **Save Changes**.

  <Step title="Add or remove listings">
    On the collection detail page, click **Add Properties** (manual collections only). To remove, select listings and confirm removal — or click **Remove** on a single card.

  <Step title="Check website status">
    A green **On website** badge means the collection is published. If hidden, open **Edit** and enable **Show on website**.

  <Step title="Preview on the storefront">
    When published, click the globe icon on the detail page to open the live collection page.

Smart collections update automatically when listings match your rules — no manual add/remove needed.

## Expected result [#expected-result]

The collection lists the right properties in admin. Published collections appear on your storefront and in theme sections where you placed them.
