**Sample data** is fake listings and clients HousingStreet adds so you can click around safely.

Nothing you do to sample rows affects real buyers or sellers.

## Steps [#steps]

  <Step title="Spot the banner">
    On the **Dashboard**, look for a yellow or blue banner that says sample data is loaded.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open sample listings">
    Go to **Listings → Properties**. Rows marked as sample show demo addresses and photos. Open one and explore the detail page.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open sample clients">
    Go to **CRM → Clients**. Drag a sample deal on the board or open a client profile to see how the pipeline works.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Clear when ready">
    When you are ready for real work, click **Remove sample data** on the banner. Confirm the action. Sample rows disappear; your own data stays.
